Bart Goldberg walked out of James Madison University in 1991 with a diploma, $1,500, and a box of sports cards. Thirty-three years later, The Card Cellar is Fredericksburg's most beloved collectibles destination.
1991
The Beginning
Bart opens The Card Cellar on Caroline Street with a modest inventory of sports cards and a passion for the hobby.
2000s
Expanding the Collection
The store grows into full memorabilia, autographed pieces, and a comprehensive gift section as the hobby booms.
2010s
Pokémon & Comics Arrive
Trading card games and comics join the lineup, plus a full arcade to make every visit an experience.
